Rob Walling is a serial entrepreneur who has built six companies (five bootstrapped, one funded). He’s been teaching founders how to build, launch, and grow startups for nearly two decades.
He runs the original community for bootstrapped SaaS founders, MicroConf, and the first bootstrapper-friendly accelerator, TinySeed. He’s the host of the Startups for the Rest of Us podcast and has written four best-selling books about startups.
Dr. Sherry Walling is a clinical psychologist, speaker, award-winning author, and mental health advocate specializing in the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
With a PhD in clinical psychology, Sherry has completed research fellowships at Yale University School of Medicine and the National Center for PTSD. Her books, The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Keeping Your Sh*t Together and Touching Two Worlds, and her ZenFounder podcast, offer deep insights into managing stress, growth, and grief, particularly in the entrepreneurial world.

Rob Walling is a serial entrepreneur who has built six companies (five bootstrapped, one funded). He’s been teaching founders how to build, launch, and grow startups for nearly two decades.
He’s written three best-selling books about startups: The SaaS Playbook, Start Small, Stay Small, and The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Keeping Your Sh*t Together, and more than 100 essays about starting startups.
In 2010 he started a podcast with Mike Taber, which became one of the most popular startup podcasts on iTunes, called Startups for the Rest of Us. It has shipped every week since then and now has nearly 750 episodes and 15 million downloads.
In 2011 he cofounded MicroConf, the largest community for non-venture track SaaS founders.
He founded Drip, an email marketing tool that allows a user to send emails to their audience based on user behavior, in 2012. It was acquired in a life-changing exit by Leadpages in July 2016. He led the Drip product team, out of Leadpages’ Minneapolis headquarters, until April 2018.
In October 2018, Walling announced that he was starting the first startup accelerator designed for bootstrappers, called TinySeed.
Walling has become known as a supporter of self-funding or bootstrapping software companies that turn a profit, instead of raising funding from venture capitalists. He has invested in more than 210 companies and has been quoted in dozens of major publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Entrepreneur, and Inc. Magazine.
Dr. Sherry Walling is a clinical psychologist, speaker, award-winning author, and mental health advocate specializing in the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
With 30,000+ hours of consulting experience, she has helped thousands of founders and leaders recover from burnout and navigate the hardest moments of their careers. Besides her consulting work, she creates experiences to reconnect with play, joy, and aliveness. These include in-person retreats, group coaching experiences, and the Touching Two Worlds Circus Shows.
She hosts the ZenFounder podcast, which has been called a “must listen” by both Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine and has been downloaded more than 1,000,000 times. She is also the host of Mind Curious, a podcast exploring psychedelics and innovation in mental health care.
Her best-selling book, The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Keeping Your Sh*t Together, combines the insight and warmth of a therapist with the truth-telling mirth of someone who has been there. Her award-winning memoir Touching Two Worlds explores new strategies for finding wholeness in the aftermath of loss.
Dr. Walling is an expert in trauma, stress, and burnout and her research has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Traumatic Stress. She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and Fuller School of Psychology. She has a PhD in clinical psychology and master’s degrees in both psychology and theology and she completed research fellowships at Yale University School of Medicine and the National Center for PTSD in Boston.
Sherry speaks on stages all over the world on topics such as burnout, grief, entrepreneur mental health, and the life-saving value of a good hobby. She also worked as a mentor in several start-up accelerators including Lunar Startups, Beta, and TinySeed.
